solar-power-boat

Solar powered boat finishes from arround the world trip.

The PlanetSolar, the largest solar powered boat finished the trip stretching 60.000 kilometers and arround all oceans.

It's a catamaran powered only by a silent, non-pollution, electric motor running with solar energy.

Impressive feat accomplished by Raphael Domjan, the initiator of the project, and Gerard d'Aboville, the famous French navigator who was first to cross the Atlantic Ocean by rowing.

After know that I can imagine the guy was very motivated to get into a more modern street of transportation.

  1. It sure is an impressive feat. It just goes to show that it is possible to use solar energy to run machines and big vessels. And I think this technology will not be limited to boats and large vessels. In fact, bowadays, there are some people who are using solar energy to run their appliances.

  2. Solar power boats are the clean and efficient way of the water transportation system. Solar power boats get energy and power from the sun and use in electric motors and some storage batteries. I am sure this idea would be very important in a future transportation system.

  4. Solar energy products can be very expensive. The initial cost is, perhaps, the main disadvantage of solar energy.
